Signing Up for Signature Signature Homes Inc., a 2-year-old custom-building company in Fort Mitchell, is opening an exclusive section at Triple Crown Country Club, Richwood. While seven contractors are building at Triple Crown, only Henry Fischer Builder has its homes clustered. others are building single-family homes on lots throughout the development, which eventually will include 500 households. Construction starts Monday on the first of five homes sold in Signature Homes' new area, Churchill Estates. There are 21 home sites in phase 1 or the project and 31 in phase II. Prices start at $100,000, says Tim Jolley, company sales manager. Triple Crown has been home base for Signature Homes; it's built 15 homes in the golf community and its model home is there. The company also has built in Fort Thomas and Indian Hill and is starting to work in Anderson Township. The average price of a Signature home in 1992: $450,000. Signature designs most of the homes it builds, after talking with clients about how they live, how they entertain and about what is important to them, says company president Dale McPherson, who couples an architectural education with a construction background. During the building process, Signature Homes involves the client in four formal "quality insurance" inspections - at foundation, framing and drywall stages, and at completion. "We want to make building a house enjoyable," McPherson says. To complete the package, interior designer Becky McPherson, Dale's wife and a multiple-award winner at Homefest, Northern Kentucky's new-home showcase, is available to help with a new home's interior. "Dale is very creative, very clever," says Phyllis Beebe, who with her husband, Joe, moved to Triple Crown in January from Seattle. "And Becky, too. I was still in Seattle (her husband came ahead for a new job), and we couldn't have done it (the house) if it hadn't been for both of them. They made the whole experience very pleasurable. |
