Step Up to the High Life Richwood, KY. A house that fit their needs and lifestyles persuaded Mike and Bonnie Roe to buy in the Triple Crown Country Club Community. Their four-bedroom is one of 53 houses sold in a subdivision under development by Signature Homes at Richwood in Northern Kentucky. The Roes said they spent $375,000 to buy in Triple Crown because it's well-designed, provides access to a golf course, and could have strong resale value in one of the area's fastest-growing sites. Mike Roe, 42, Vice President of Retail Sales at Hillshire Farms & Kahns in Cincinnati, said he also likes the home because the builder was able to incorporate some of his ideas in the design and make it look architecturally appealing. Roe also likes the view of lakes, bike trails, and the golf course. He said the home includes a wood-paneled den that resembles a judge's chambers, a great room, stairwells in the font and rear leading to a basement, and a country kitchen that offers a view of the back yard. "It's very important that the builder adds his own personal touch when you're spending this kind of money," Roe said. Dale McPherson, President of Signature Homes, said Roe's home is the type his company builds that is designed for move-up buyers, empty nesters, and people relocating to the area. McPherson said the homes range from $275000 to more than $1 million; the lots cost between $55,000 to $150,000. Signature Homes is among several builders developing homes in Triple Crown. The others are Triple Crown Custom Builders, Tim Burks Builder, Gerdes and Fleach, Krumpelman Builders, Noll Builders, Ashley Development, and Kennedy and Jobe. |
